At sunset, the whole of White Beach turns orange. Sailboats drift along the shore, fire dancers light their torches on the sand, and music starts to drift out of the beach bars. Boracay is the Philippines' party island, and it has an unusual story: in 2018 the government closed it for about six months to clean up pollution and rebuild.
