Borderbasket VPN: privacy
The Borderbasket VPN browser extension sends your encrypted (HTTPS) web traffic through a Borderbasket server and on to the website in the country you choose. Borderbasket itself and your local network are not routed through it.
What we process
- Your Borderbasket account (e-mail address) to connect the extension and apply the monthly limit of 1 GB.
- How much VPN data your account used in the current month, and the domain names the data went to (as totals). We do not read or store page contents, passwords, form entries or browsing history.
- Your IP address is visible to our server while the VPN is on, as with any VPN. The websites you open see the address of our upstream provider instead of yours.
What the extension stores on your device
The chosen country, whether the VPN is on, and a connection key for your account. Nothing else.
Sharing
We do not sell data. Traffic is passed through a proxy network provider to reach the website you open.
